My name is Nic Collins. I am a filmmaker from Chicago based in LA.
I actually discovered Agents of Guard through an article a few years back about a wonder woman fan film and how it was illustrated that we were ready for a big screen wonder woman!! I’m a frequent visitor of Agents of Guard and wanted to share something with you!
I’m the director over at Twin Visuals. We have been releasing a comedy, scifi, punk rock, genre-bending, web series called ‘Year of the Snake’. The score was done entirely by Chicago Punk musicians and rappers.
As of this week, ‘Year of the Snake’ has been officially selected into four film festivals and counting!!
‘Year of the Snake’ follows a lovable, childish alien named Snake who is sent to earth to kill a lonely stoner named V. V’s kindness makes Snake reconsider his mission, and they become the best of friends. As Snake and V band together to defeat the forces of evil, Snake learns that being a human is a little harder than he thought.
The scifi/comedy plays with subjects such as male privilege, online-dating, destiny, religion, comic book archetypes, gender stereotypes in film/television, simulation theory, and the existential crisis.

My name is Derek Taylor Kent, author of the upcoming novel KUBRICK’S GAME, due for release September 26, 2016 from Evolved Publishing. I’m also the author of the award-winning HarperCollins series Scary School and the bestselling El Perro con Sombrero through Holt/Macmillan.
If you’re a fan of Ernest Cline or puzzle-adventures like Ready Player One or The Da Vinci Code, Kubrick’s Game should be right up your alley and a book your readers will be very keen to hear about.
It tells the story of an obsessed young film student who discovers a hidden game within the films of Stanley Kubrick that seems to leading a mysterious treasure the legendary filmmaker left behind. If you’re a fan of great movies, diabolical puzzles and secret societies, this one is for you.
If you like audio books, Star Trek The Next Generation’s Jonathan Frakes will be the primary narrator along with Community’s Yvette Nicole Brown in a supporting role. Other surprise guest appearances will be announced soon.
For more info about myself and the novel, here’s a cover reveal/featured article from House of Geekery: https://houseofgeekery.com/2016/05/27/exclusive-cover-reveal-for-new-thriller-kubricks-game-by-derek-taylor-kent/
If this sounds like something you would be interested in reviewing, I am happy to send you an ebook ARC right away, or I can also put you on the list for a hardcopy or Audio Book when they are available in the near future.
I would also be more than happy to take part in an author interview or special giveaway for your readers.
In terms of the time frame, I would ideally be looking for a review to come out around September 26, 2016, but any date before December 10 would also be fine.
Thank you in advance for your kind consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
