On June 14, 2014, animator Simon Chong uploaded a fan cartoon on Youtube.

It’s an obvious parring since South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone also co-created the hit Broadway musical,  The Book of Mormon (along with Avenue Q co-creator Robert Lopez, who is now REALLY famous for co-writing the songs to Frozen with his wife Kristen Anderson. )

Using Adobe After Effects and Photoshop, he animated this short in about a week just for fun.

What he created was an incredible homage to both The Book of Mormon and South Park.

It’s great, and the more you watch it, the more fun Easter eggs to the South Park series you will find.

But on top of that, it’s a terrific representation of a musical number that is normally seen on stage. It nails that opening song with the right visual style, cutting and pacing.

Enough of my blabbering, go see for yourself.
